Grasshopper International (GI) is one of the most important education providers in Colombia. With the goal to be “The Best Solution in Overseas Study Counseling” in Colombia, the company was funded in 2000. Actually Grasshopper International (GI) is a Colombian, Brazilian, Australian and Argentina registered international student placement services organization that specializes in South America.
GI was formed in 2000 with a view to addressing the needs of Colombian students seeking English Certification studies in Australia, America and England but it has quickly grown to embrace the demands of students seeking Educational advancement generally. Due to all the needs of the market in July 2001 with the aim to meet the demands of the company’s executives and mature age students in Colombia, GI created a specialized department in professional development services for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
After established the business we have conduced different interviews with current and prospective students to identify how the incumbent agents in the industry were meeting their needs. This feedback demonstrated that there was clearly a gap between delivery and expectation for students – broadly the students found that they were directed to the most profitable institution for the agent, not the most suitable for the student.
The end result was disgruntled students that took up few additional services or recommended return business to the agent and the institution. This is where Grasshopper has made a difference by taking an active role in the complete settlement process for students and maintaining a continuing relationship into their professional life.
Since its foundation GI has placed over 2700 students in Australia with an average course length of 65 weeks per student due to our large number of student studying vocational, undergraduate and postgraduate programs. |
